Welcome to Kids 4 Coding!

YOUR CHILD IS REGISTERED TO ATTEND:

Minecraft Code Wizards: Ages 7-9
Afternoon HALF-DAY Session: Mon-Fri  1:00-4:00pm

WHAT TO INSTALL ON YOUR COMPUTER (prior to class)

Sign up for a free account & remember to bring your login credentials!

2. Students do not need a Minecraft account for the afternoon session, but they must install the Minecraft EDU launcher:
https://education.minecraft.net/en-us/get-started/download

Please install on Windows or Mac laptops only. The curriculum is not compatible with iPads or tablets.

PERSONAL LAPTOPS:  Please write the ADMINISTRATIVE PASSWORD on a notecard or tape it to your child’s laptop.  Don’t forget to include the power cord and a mouse!  Kids 4 Coding is not responsible for lost power cords, mice, flash drives, etc.

LAPTOP RENTALS: Please reserve a laptop rental at least 4-days in advance of your class. Due to the high demand, we cannot guarantee a rental without advance notice. 

 

CELL PHONES:

Cell phones must remain out of sight and in silent mode during instructional time.

 

PICKUP/DROP-OFF
Follow the school's road signs to the designated drop-off/pickup area. Early drop-off begins at 8:30am.  Please
do not leave your child unattended outside or inside of the building before 8:30am. Students must check in with a staff member before entering the building. Please exit vehicles on the curbside.

LATE PICKUP:

There is a 5-minute grace period for late pickup. Beyond 5 minutes, a late fee of $1 per minute will be charged. For late pickup beyond 15 minutes, additional fees will apply.

CARPOOLING WITH OTHER PARENTS/FAMILY MEMBERS:
Please provide a handwritten note at drop-off if a friend or relative is picking up your child. 

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

Cleaning & Sanitizing:
We will clean equipment and work surfaces before and after each group enters the classroom.

Hand Sanitizer: Will be available in all classrooms
Vaccinations: Not required
Face Masks: Optional

Staff & Student Pre-Screening:
Please pre-screen daily for COVID-19 symptoms. 

 

- Fever or chills

- Cough
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

- Fatigue

- Muscle or body aches

- Headache

- New loss of taste or smell

- Sore throat

- Congestion or runny nose

- Nausea or vomiting

- Diarrhea

Daily Temperature Checks:
Staff will check student temperatures daily at check in.

 

COVID-19 Symptoms at Camp
If a child becomes sick or exhibits COVID-19 symptoms, we will separate the student from the group and make contact with the parent. A staff member will wait with the student until a parent arrives at the school.

OTHER MEDICAL:
If your child has a severe food or bee allergy, please consider bringing an EpiPen. Please write the child's name on the outside of the container.
