Ages 7-9 | Minecrafting with AI
Morning Camp 9am-12pm

Educational Minecraft lessons help kids build skills in collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and systems thinking. The open learning environment gives students the freedom to experiment, encouraging creative self-expression and problem-solving. Kids will learn the 101 of block programming (variables, loops and if statements) while designing exciting Mods, Redstone and more. Students are introduced to AI through game design and hands on activities using robotic cars.

Afternoon Camp 1pm - 4pm

This camp combines the excitement of gaming with the fun of LEGO building. It offers a dynamic mix of digital gameplay and hands-on creativity. Set in a rich world of rocky coastlines, lush forests, and welcoming characters, participants will gather resources and craft tools to thrive in these virtual environments. The camp merges virtual LEGO challenges with real-world problem-solving, using educational LEGO kits to construct structures, machines, and robots.

Morning Camp 9am - 12pm

Campers learn fundamental coding and game design skills with MIT's Scratch programming platform. Students can manipulate code to create custom games, animations, art, music and more!  + Turn everyday objects into touchpads and combine them with the internet. With Makey Makey, an invention kit for 21st century learners, doing art, engineering, and everything inbetween is possible. + Love music?  Arrange coding blocks into patterns and sequences to compose original tunes - with over 300 musical sounds to produce the perfect song!

Afternoon Camp 1-4pm

Dive into Game Development with Kodu Game Lab, an exciting programming environment used to create interactive games, stories and animations.  Kids code their personal projects using a block-style visual programming language to build their first 3D Game! + Ozo goes to the sun, earth and moon with Ozobot robots. Campers get creative with art and robotics; we'll learn about the earth’s gravitational pull on the moon and its effect on the moon’s orbit.

Laptop required: Kodu runs on Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, 8 and 10

Morning Camp 9:00am-12:00pm 

Using the Lua programming language, students create and code their first game in Roblox Studio while learning how to use scripts, variables and loops for in-game visual effects. Sample projects include creating your own Obby (obstacle course) and building a spaceship while learning 3D modeling.

Afternoon Camp 1:00-4:00pm 
Used by game developers from all over the world Construct 3 is recognized as the easiest and most powerful game engine around. Construct 3 is packed with all the tools you need to make and publish your own games (and it runs right inside your browser!). With JavaScript, you can combine blocks and files, add special effects, gorgeous graphics and more!

Ages 10-12 | Arcade Game Development + Machine Learning 
Morning Camp 9:00-12:00pm 

Develop your programming skills by creating and modding retro arcade games with Python programming! Coding concepts include sprite creation and movement, event handlers, the information system for score and timer, flags, functions, classes, global vs local variables, and effects.+ Students will train and test Machine Learning Models to recognize text, images and more. They will learn about variables, conditionals, functions and many other programming concepts.

Ages 10-12 | Mobile Apps & Python
Afternoon Camp 1:00-4:00pm 

Kids learn real-world skills with the power of play! Students will design a fantasy adventure game that involves sequenced commands to build obstacles, revising a loop to program movement, and customizing art assets with methods and parameters. + VR and virtual robotics with VEX. Students practice coding and test strategies with a virtual robot in a VR environment. This interactive platform teaches students fundamental CS skills, such as algorithms, variables and abstraction.
