Students will progress through didactic lessons introducing Cybersecurity concepts.  Projects cover the concepts of communication systems, hardware, networks, software, the Internet of Things, security, digital citizenship, and more. Students learn about data types, variables, conditionals, loops, lists, functions, and debugging.  Each week will culminate with a short capstone project. Ages 13-15

Unity Game Development

Half-Day Afternoons | 1-4pm Mon-Fri  

Learn game development (and C# programming) with one of the most popular multi-platform game engines. Students will learn essential features of the Unity Editor and create and manage 2D/3D scenes. They will learn about real-time industry essentials and the roles within the industries. Scene-building projects include: identifying the default elements, creating & manipulating game objects, working with components, scripts and more.
Project Objective:

  • Create and apply C# scripts to GameObjects

  • Create functions and apply to GameObjects

  • Instantiate and Destroy GameObjects

  • Understand variables and how to use them

  • Use if statements to create branching logic

  • Use Classes to organize code

  • Explore common components to create object interactions
