2024 | Waivers & General Participation Agreement
 

POLICIES FOR IN-PERSON CLASSES/CAMPS

You are eligible to receive a full refund on your order if canceled by Feb 15th. For orders canceled between Feb 16 and March 31st, a credit voucher will be issued and good for 1 year from the date of purchase. Minus a $25 fee on half-day orders and a $50 fee on full-day orders.   For orders canceled between April 1st and 15th, a credit voucher will be issued, minus a $50 fee on half-day orders and a $100 fee on full-day orders. No refunds or credits will apply after April 15th but you may transfer your booking to a friend or family member. All cancellation requests must be sent to: registration@kids4coding.com

 

Your credit voucher can be used or combined toward any of the following:
1. Any in-person full or half-day summer program.

2. Any remote summer course.

3. Any after-school or weekend program held during the school year.

The voucher must be redeemed within 12 months of issuance. Credit vouchers may be transferred to other family members or friends.

UNDER-ENROLLMENT 

In the event we do not meet our minimum enrollment, we will provide a full refund or alternative course options. Refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days from the date of cancellation. 

 

COURSES CANCELED MID-WAY DUE TO REASONS BEYOND OUR CONTROL

If a course is canceled midway (for reasons beyond our control), we will provide a prorated refund for the remaining portion of the program.

 

NO CREDITS WILL BE ISSUED FOR NO-SHOWS, EARLY WITHDRAWAL, or dismissal due to absences (for any reason), including sickness, internet connectivity, academic motivation, and behavioral releases. If participants are not able to complete the program, the fee is not prorated and no refunds will be issued, including partial refunds or credits.

HEALTH & SAFETY 
Your child's safety is our highest concern.  Including precautions taken to prepare for COVID-19, inclement weather, fire safety, intruder and emergency response.  Kids 4 Coding will follow the standard safety procedures &  protocols used by schools in the unlikely event of severe weather, fire or an intruder.  

 

MEDIA, PROMOTIONAL & STRATEGIC PARTNERS
As a condition of participation, strategic partners and the media may visit our program. Kids 4 Coding may not have the opportunity to contact all families for permission before the press arrives.  Photos and videos become the property of Kids 4 Coding and may be used for promotional purposes. Therefore, we have created a blanket policy. We thank you for understanding.

 

EXPECTATIONS OF STUDENT CONDUCT
Students are expected to use appropriate behavior & self-discipline to participate in our program. Kids 4 Coding reserves the right to dismiss any student from the program due to disruptive behavior. No refunds or credits will apply.

 

Use of Technology:

  • Students must use computers in an appropriate way

  • Students may ONLY visit website addresses approved by Kids 4 Coding instructor(s) or staff

  • Students must use technology equipment with care and safety

  • Students must be respectful of other people's work 

ELECTRONICS/DATA
Students are responsible for their personal laptops, power cords, mice, flash drives and electronic files. 

 

CELL PHONES 

Students are allowed to use their phones during breaks & lunch, but they must be turned off or on vibrate during instruction.

 

DROP-OFF 
Parents/Guardians need to sign-in upon arrival (on the first day of your summer program).  *See site location for drop-off/pickup times. For safety reasons, please do not drop off your child earlier than the scheduled classes or summer programs

permit.  

 

PICKUP
Please be on time for pickup.  Extended time fees start after 5 minutes.  A fee of $1.00 per minute will be billed for students who are picked up beyond the 5-minute courtesy window.  Pick up beyond 30 minutes will be billed at $2 per minute and pick up beyond 45 minutes late will be billed at $3 per minute and may result in dismissal from the program (no refunds will apply). 

 

If you make arrangements for someone else to be responsible for your child (during drop-off or pickup), please inform the program manager on duty & provide (in writing) the person's name & contact information. 

 

INCLEMENT WEATHER 

In the event of severe weather, Kids 4 Coding will closely monitor weather reports, and if severe weather threat is imminent, Kids 4 Coding will follow severe weather safety procedures. 

 

YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Kids 4 Coding does not share personal information such as e-mail, phone numbers, home addresses or any other personal information. 

 

NUT-FREE ZONE 
Kids 4 Coding is a nut-free zone year-round. Please do not send snack or lunch items containing nuts.

INTERNET CONNECTIVITY & SOFTWARE PROGRAMS

The functionality of programming is dependent upon internet connectivity. Our servers have successfully undergone testing before the summer at each location. Although rare, during classes or summer programs, it is possible that external factors may cause an interruption in connectivity. If this occurs, students will collaborate on projects or individual skills or offline activities while connectivity is being restored.

COMPUTER RENTAL PROGRAM 

Laptops are prepaid at the time of registration and based on availability. If you did not reserve a laptop at the time of booking and needed one, please request a rental by email at least 5 days before the start of your program.  We cannot guarantee equipment availability without prior reservation. CURRICULUM CHANGES/UPDATES
The information provided in the course descriptions is intended for informational purposes only and is subject to change without notice.  

 

KIDS 4 CODING, LLC offers a high level of service by providing virtual courses and in-person summer programs, workshops, and after-school and weekend classes taught by highly trained instructors. All staff members have passed background checks and professional and personal references are verified prior to employment. We regularly monitor and evaluate our instructors to make sure our expectations of service are met. Site managers are Adult/Pediatric CPR & First Aid certified. 

 

No guarantees are made, or results are implied since students vary in motivation, interests, classroom behavior, attendance, background, preparation & the time & effort they invest in learning.  

POLICIES FOR VIRTUAL CLASSES

ZOOM ACCESS/RECORDING

Participation in our online courses indicates your consent to have your child access lessons with their instructor via Zoom. Sessions will be recorded for training purposes and shared with the class (upon request) for absences or review. 

If you cancel your child’s online program (within 30 days of the start date) you are entitled to a full refund (minus a $30 cancellation fee). All cancellation requests must be sent to: registration@kids4coding.com

If you cancel your child’s online program within fewer than 30 days of the start date, you will receive a credit voucher in your child’s Kids 4 Coding account. Credit vouchers are not redeemable for cash or credit card refunds. 

No refunds or credit vouchers will apply for cancellations under 14 days.
