Waivers & General Participation Agreement

Our goal is to provide a unique & rewarding educational experience for all students.

Please read the following waivers & agreements carefully before registering to participate

in any of our programs.

 

REFUNDS, CANCELLATIONS & COURSE CHANGES

  • Classes are non-refundable but we are happy to reschedule you into another class, based on availability.

  • We require a 7-day MINIMUM written notice to reschedule a class. 

NO CREDIT WILL BE ISSUED FOR NO-SHOWS, EARLY WITHDRAWAL, or dismissal due to absences (for any reason), including sickness, internet connectivity, academic motivation and behavioral releases. If participants are not able to complete the program, the fee is not prorated and no refunds will be issued, including partial refunds or credits.

 

REQUESTS to CHANGE to a DIFFERENT VIRTUAL PROGRAM
We understand plans can change and emergencies happen. If you'd like to request a change to another program, we require a 7-DAY MINIMUM notice in writing. 

REQUESTS TO CHANGE TO AN IN-PERSON PROGRAM
You may transfer your virtual course registration to any in-person program within 7 days of the start date and based on availability.

 

REQUESTS TO CHANGE TO A DIFFERENT WEEK OR TIME
21-day written notice for in-person programs/14-day written notice for virtual programs

Please include a copy of your child's registration. We cannot guarantee placement and requests are based on availability. If another program of your choice is not available, you will receive a credit voucher. This credit voucher is fully transferable to family or friends. Respectfully, no credit vouchers will be issued for cancellations made after the 14-day window. Please allow up to 5 business days to receive a credit voucher. Credit vouchers will be emailed to you and expire on August 31, 2022. Credit Vouchers are not redeemable for cash refunds.

 

IN THE EVENT WE DO NOT MEET OUR MINIMUM ENROLLMENT we will cancel and notify you of an alternate session based on availability. If in the unlikely event Kids 4 Coding has to cancel any of our programs, refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days from the date of cancellation, if an alternate session is not chosen or available. If a course is canceled midway (for reasons beyond our control), we will provide a prorated refund for the remaining portion of the program.

SAFETY (Applies to In-Person Classes)
Your child's safety is our highest concern.  Including precautions taken to prepare for:  inclement weather, fire safety, intruder and emergency response.  Kids 4 Coding will follow the standard safety procedures used by schools in the unlikely event of severe weather, fire or an intruder.  

 

 

MEDIA, PROMOTIONAL & STRATEGIC PARTNERS
As a condition of participation, strategic partners and the media may visit our program. Kids 4 Coding may not have the opportunity to contact all families for permission before the press arrives.  Photos and videos become the property of Kids 4 Coding and may be used for promotional purposes. Therefore, we have created a blanket policy. We thank you for understanding.

 

EXPECTATIONS OF STUDENT CONDUCT
Students are expected to use appropriate behavior & self-discipline to participate in our program. Kids 4 Coding reserves the right to dismiss any student from the program due to disruptive behavior. No refunds or credits will apply.

 

Use of Technology:

  • Students must use computers in an appropriate way

  • Students may ONLY visit website addresses approved by Kids 4 Coding instructor(s) or staff

  • Students must use technology equipment with care and safety

  • Students must be respectful of other people's work 

 

 

ELECTRONICS/DATA
Students are responsible for their personal laptops, power cords, mice, flash drives and electronic files. 

 

CELL PHONES (Applies to In-Person Classes)

Students are allowed to use their phones during breaks & lunch, but they must be turned off or on vibrate during instruction.

 

DROP-OFF (Applies to In-Person Classes)
Parents/Guardians need to sign-in upon arrival (on the first day of your summer program).  *See site location for drop-off/pickup times. For safety reasons, please do not drop off your child earlier than the scheduled classes or summer programs

permit.  

 

PICKUP (Applies to In-Person Classes)
Please be on time for pickup.  Extended time fees start after 5 minutes.  A fee of $1.00 per minute will be billed for students who are picked up beyond the 5-minute courtesy window.  Pick up beyond 30 minutes will be billed at $2 per minute and pick up beyond 45 minutes late will be billed at $3 per minute and may result in dismissal from the program (no refunds will apply). 

 

If you make arrangements for someone else to be responsible for your child (during drop-off or pickup), please inform the program manager on duty & provide (in writing)  the person's name & contact information. 

 

INCLEMENT WEATHER (Applies to In-Person Classes)

In the event of school closings due to inclement weather, Kids 4 Coding may also be closed. Road conditions often vary from morning to afternoon.  We will email and call with notification of any closing no later than 1 pm. You may also email us or call for verification.  

 

INCLEMENT WEATHER (Applies to In-Person Classes)

In the event of severe weather, Kids 4 Coding will closely monitor weather reports, and if severe weather threat is imminent, Kids 4 Coding will follow severe weather safety procedures. 

 

YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Kids 4 Coding does not share personal information such as e-mail, phone numbers, home addresses or any other personal information. 

 

NUT-FREE ZONE (Applies to In-Person Classes)
Kids 4 Coding is a nut-free zone year-round.  However, snacks provided during summer & winter programs may have been made on "shared equipment" so we ask parents to provide snacks for children with severe allergies.

 

INTERNET CONNECTIVITY & SOFTWARE PROGRAMS

The functionality of programming is dependent upon internet connectivity. Our servers have successfully undergone testing before the summer at each location. Although rare, during classes or summer programs, it is possible that external factors may cause an interruption in connectivity. If this occurs, students will collaborate on projects or individual skills or offline activities while connectivity is being restored.  

 

 

ZOOM ACCESS/RECORDING (Applies to Virtual Classes Only)

Participation in our online courses indicates your consent to have your child access lessons with their instructor via Zoom. Sessions will be recorded for training purposes and shared with the class (upon request) for absences or review. 

 

 

COMPUTER RENTAL PROGRAM (Applies to In-Person Classes)

Laptops are prepaid at the time of registration and based on availability. If you did not reserve a laptop at the time of booking and needed one, please request a rental by email at least 4 days before the start of your program.  We cannot guarantee equipment availability without prior reservation. CURRICULUM CHANGES/UPDATES
The information provided in the course descriptions is intended for informational purposes only and is subject to change without notice.  

 

KIDS 4 CODING, LLC offers a high level of service by providing virtual courses and in-person summer programs, workshops, and after-school and weekend classes taught by highly trained instructors. All staff members have passed background checks and professional and personal references are verified prior to employment. We regularly monitor and evaluate our instructors to make sure our expectations of service are met. Site managers are Adult/Pediatric CPR & First Aid certified. 

 

 

No guarantees are made, or results are implied since students vary in motivation, interests, classroom behavior, attendance, background, preparation & the time & effort they invest in learning.
